As we approach the end of 2020 a lot of us are searching to regain some definition to finish the year.
The days are shorter and we have the urge to hunker down and hide away from the world. However we still have 2 glorious months left of the year. There is so much to be grateful for and there are lots of opportunities to learn new things.
I love delivering workshops and sharing the experiences and knowledge that I have about printmaking. I teach workshops so that I can give people the experience and skills to be able to print at home, creating wonderful items that enrich the fabric of their home.
The workshops I am delivering are; Christmas card printing, Tea light shade printing and making and Hand printed textiles for your home, through the process of lino printing. The sessions are for pairs of people, house group or social bubble.
Sunday mornings in November are workshops devoted to Christmas Card Printing. It is 3 hours dedicated to designing, learning how to carve and printing 10 Christmas Cards. This is a really good sessions for beginners as it teaches you all the skills that you need to print cards again and again.
Sunday mornings in December are workshops focusing on creating comforting lights for your home. It is 3 hours focusing on making a pair of tea light shades. You will learn about simple pattern repeats, designing, carving, hand printing and then make the tea light shades.
Fridays in November and December there are opportunities to come to full day workshops devoted to learning the skills to ‘Handprint Textiles for your Home’. The first project you will do is hand print a simple cotton tote bag, using your carved lino block. The second of the projects will be fabric to use to make a table runner OR a pair of cushions to handprint.
Based in Thornton Le Dale in North Yorkshire my studio is an ideal place for 2 people to come to learn, relax and create amazing things for your homes.
